Only once in my life have I walked out of a session because I was afraid of losing my temper completely. A guy had just recited a bawdy poem (by Brendan Keneally, as it happens). Paddy, acting as MC for the session, proceed to dress him down in public (so to speak) for his "un-Irish" contribution to the session!

p.s. It did have one funny consequence. When I calmed down enough to return, I found the session had divided into two separate camps, in different rooms in the venue. The uncommitted benefited most by commuting between the two, doubling their chances of singing!
