Thread Name: BS: Sean Connery and Diana Rigg
Subject: BS: Sean Connery and Diana Rigg
Thinking about "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (a very funny article in this week's New Yorker), I am reminded that there are some things that will never mend, that indicate in no uncertain terms that the universe is flawed. Like Sean Connery and Diana Rigg not being in the same Bond film together. I was wondering if there were other real (not fantasy) missed opportunities that people could recall, and that would have, but didn't, make the world a better place. A few more come to my mind:

(1) I recall reading somewhere that some years ago Sinead O'Connor was going to make a movie of Joan of Arc. Whatever you think of her, she would have made a great Joan of Arc.

(2) There is supposed to be somewhere a tape (never kept perhaps) of John Lennon and Bob Dylan working out a song together. Given that at the time they were writing similarly, a more substantial collaboration might have been worth it.

(3) Speaking of which, Paul McCartney tells the story of he and John sitting watching Saturday Night Live together in New York and almost deciding to go down and play, but didn't.
