Let me say that I'm sure it wasn't "one of us." And I'm equally sure it wasn't a professional. A "pro" would have sold the credit card numbers and expiration dates to some of the really bad guys out on the street. The fact that they were considerate enough to return what they couldn't easily spend makes me think they were just local kids with enough gall to stick a hand into the cash box when no one was looking. It's easy to be distracted when turned away from the table to chat or exchange big hugs with friends. Again, thanks for your kind concern, good people. We're getting over the initial shock with no trouble, since the loss was really quite minimal, compared to what it might have been.
