Hi Ian

You're just up the road! I knew there was a session at Ashwell but we haven't been along yet.

The folk club at Letchworth is fairly new, my husband runs it & so far we have had Martin Wyndham-Read, Jez Lowe, & this Friday it is The MacCalmans. Basically it's on the 4th Friday of every month. There will be a break for July & Aug, when most clubs close. We started it up to try & get in more traditional artists, it's getting known that's the difficulty.

There's also a very good session on the 4th Wednesday of every month (ie tomorrow) at The Greyhound pub, St Ippollyts (just outside Hitchin on the Codicote Road). This encompasses a range of instruments (fiddle, concertina, accordian. melodeon, bodhran, guitars, hammer dulcimer, bouzouki etc etc) & singing too. It's run by Barry Goodman, who is half of Life & Times & also a member of Time of Your Life. It's a very friendly session.

Our phone number is 01462 438373 if you want to get in contact with us.
