Agree with all the stuff above in praise of Steve Tilston. I've seen him many times in the last couple of years in a wide range of venues, from a big auditorium (on the Fairport tour) to The Poppy House (our local cafe, with a capacity of 30) and have never been disappointed.

He is a superb technician, in my opinion, and the stuff he writes bears comparison with anybody.

Only little mark against was earlier this month when he was at the Loton Park do and the MC said she was worried about forgetting his name. He said she could call him what she liked as long as she didn't call him Trevor! Didn't he know his greatest fan was in the audience? (It did occur to me that he may have heard me trying to do some of his material!)
