Thread Name: BS: Sean Connery and Diana Rigg

Jimmy Stewart may have had a "funny voice," but can you imagine anyone else in Rear Window? And Grace Kelly--if she had kept acting, she could hold a candle to Rigg.

It has been years since I saw any of his movies, but Robert Donat was a great leading man, and I'd have loved to have seen him spend more time on this side of the pond. Too bad the only time I know of his acting with Ingrid Bergman was when he was in costume as an aged Chinese Mandarin. I've shown my kids Donat's The Thirty-nine Steps and they liked it okay, but the British actor they REALLY like is Cary Grant in Arsenic and Old Lace. The casting of that was a tour de force!

One last thought--have Timothy Dalton and Rigg ever worked together? Might be a spectacular match-up. He's certainly a teflon actor, good reputation considering all of the bombs he has been in. Or did The Beautician and the Beast finally do him in?
