Thread Name: BS: BSBSBSBSBS

Giok, why not look on the "BS" designation as a tool for organization or sorting, not as a rule/regulation? Same with our request that people limit the number of new threads by posting to existing threads on the same subject. There are over 53,000 threads in the Mudcat database, and over 817,000 messages. Amidst those threads and messages is some very valuable music information, as well as some personal interaction that is very valuable and memorable to a number of people. Somehow, we have to organize that information so that people can find it.
People who come here to do music research don't want to spend time reading about you beloved cat's toothache, no matter how painful that toothache may be to you and your cat. That's why we ask people to use the "BS" designation for non-music threads. We don't want to be rigid about controlling it, but the general idea is that non-music stuff should be labeled BS.
As always, there is very little regulation of the content of the messages that you post. The message titles and thread structure are the way we organize and index those messages so that they can be useful to people. At times, we have to manipulate and control that structure.
