Smallpiper, the answer given, will signify whether the person to whom one is addressing is a member of the craft. If a number is given i.e "she's 457", then they belong to lodge 457. The correct reply is usually "A grand lodge, brother - I remember well brother "insert name". errrrm.......... aparently.
