Guest, I have a different take on this than those who posted above. I think it's a valid question, one that needs to be addressed by the Democrat party.

I get a LOT of Democratic party literature- from now on I'm going to return it to them with a line suggesting that they rethink their positions and separate their party's line from that of the Republican party. I would rather they go out on a limb from time to time- at least it would prove that they are THINKING.

I'm not very leftist, only leftist enough to want, to demand, fresh thinking as to what goals are worthy. Right now I'm very afraid.
