I've been singing Scots songs almost as long as I've been singing folksongs. My first songs were learned from recordings by Ewan MacColl. Then I added to my repertoire from Jeannie Robertson, Arthur Argo, Robin Hall, Jimmie MacGregor, and more than a few field recordings.
The result has been a collation of regionalisms that have confused more than one native Scot. "Those were braw sanhs, but where dae ye come from?"
