Thank you, Amos! You know, I was rethinking my "liner notes." I have read that Herbert Hughes set Yeats' words to music. However, that doesn't mean he set them to music of his own composition; he may have just used a trad. tune. Variants of the tune for "Down by the Salley Gardens" certainly can be found; I think of Cahill McConnell's version of "Todd's Sweet Rural Shade," for example. If anyone knows more about the tune, please pipe up and we can change the attribution if need be. Thanks.
