Phew, here goes....

1. I HATE, HATE, HATE parsnips, swede and apricots.

2. I prefer cats to dogs (they're much more subtle).

3. I love sailing, especially at night and on my own.

4. I love mountains, especially when I've just climbed one (and for many years that was how I made my living).

5. I once turned Jasper Carrot down for a folk club I was involved with 'cos I thought £30 was too expensive.

6. I once had to make a Whitehall farce-like escape from a bedroom with my clothes and shoes under my arm.

7. I used to be a trainer, selector and judge in international equestrian games.

8. I am so proud of my sons that I could almost explode sometimes.

9. I want to retire to Greece and to know more about Eastern philosophy.

10. Although I enjoy my own company, and I've got a lovely partner who lives next door, in my head I feel lonely sometimes.
