Rena Swankie was the girl singer in the Reivers. Josh Macrae made quite a few singles in the late fifties and early sixties many of which were compiled on the LP Messing About on the River. Cliff Stanton's record shop was the only place in Glasgow where you could get the more esoteric American blues and jazz records in the late fities and early sixties. He always used to chase us because he knew we would spend ages poring over the records but were totally unable to afford them.
