Subject: RE: Chord Req: Orphan's Wedding
Still working on this, but here's what I've come up with so far :

One(Am) fine summer's (G)morning as (F)nature was (Em)dawning,
And (Am) good folk held (G) tae the church (Dmod)bell,
(Am)Two young (G)lovers by (D Mod) life were dec(Em)eived
And their (Am)story I (Dmod) sadly will (Am) tell.

For (Am) all the town (G) knew of our (Dmod) wed (F)ding,
Now (Am) all the town(G) knows of our (Dmod)shame.
And I've (Am) been (G)broken (Dmod)for (F) ever,
By the (Am)stranger who (G) told me my (Dmod) name.

The G can work as a full G Chord or (in standard tuning) by adding a G bass to the A minor shape. The D Mod is a modal chord that is not quite fully major or minor. It sounds complicated but if you play standard tuning use an ordinary D shape, but leave the first string open. I'm not fully satisfied with these chords but they work for now - and part of the fun is experimenting 'til it sounds right for you.

Funny what happens if you put the chords in without the brackets. You end up with "two young Glovers" and "I am broken for Fever".
