Yeah McGrath, you got me on the world cup thing. I was thinking of things of some significance though and a soccor cup doesn't loom large down here in Oz.
I tend to look at the "300" and the Commonwealth forces in Singapore as being defeated whereas the French threw the towel in before the, inevitable, defeat occurred.
