Kingston-Upon-Hull is a delightful town, with some very nice and very talented people, at least two fascinating museums, an interesting seaport on the Humber River, and one helluva bridge. Less from Hull gave Bill Sables and me a great tour in August.
Oh, and they're the only place in the UK that has white telephone booths. Can't figure why that merits two Hull phone threads in one week, though.
Personally, though, I think that the Hull chitchat at Mudcat is on the banal side.
