Thread Name: BS: For fun - Ten obscure facts about you
Subject: RE: BS: For fun - Ten obscure facts about you
Addendum:

1. My middle name is Cecil. (Anyone remember ______ the Seasick Sea Serpent?) I was embarrassed about it until recent years. It was my father's first name.

2. I am the only person I know who ever saw a live concert of the folk duet, Joe and Eddy, (at the Cellar Door in D.C.) and belive myself to be among only a few who has ever heard of them. Too bad, really.

3. On a dare, I once stood at the top of a 75 foot tall, lone pine tree during a lightning storm. (I am much older now and don't do dares at all.)
Sorta related to this...One of my very first poems, written at age 14, was:

Such Faith

People speak of faith so strong,
Of singing praise at Sunday's dawn.
They speak of holiness and love of God
But on each church is a lightning rod!

4. I don't give a damn about any professional sport. I will quickly excuse myself from the presence of those who insist upon discussing them - especially those who use the word, "we" when referring to the accomplishments of a team with whom they have never played. On the other hand, I can really get into playing some sports, though I rarely make/take the opportunity to do so.

5. I have only recently come to the realization that I am a chronic underachiever.

6. My great-grandparents were chased by Indians along the Red River as they made their way toward settling in Texas. A couple of years ago at a pow-wow I was told I appear to have some Apache traits. Hm-m-m. Wonder if maybe great-grandma got caught and nobody ever talked about it?

7. I have had the good fortune of being able to resolve all of the major regrets of my life.

8. I especially like the way I feel when I wear red.

9. One of the best life lessons I have learned (only recently) is not to fall in love so easily. This has been a very difficult concept for me to assimilate because I love so much about so many.

10. I am both impulsive and pragmatic. It is a constant battle in which intuition almost always becomes the arbiter.
