Well, Fred, I can't say there is no connection; but I have met my share of sports-minded underachievers. Maybe the red shirt made you feel more attractive. Women sense these things, I believe.

Like Rick, I was made to take dance lessons also. I have never enjoyed it very much except for slow-dancing and the couple of times I samba'd in the streets of Rio during Carival. All else seems like more work than play.

As for the potato and peanut butter thing: I dipped fries in mayo for years. I rarely eat fries at all nowadays. I am looking forward to trying proper chips someday in their natural habitat. One of my very favorite meals is a peanut butter and WELCH'S!! grape jelly sandwich (on white or some of that wheatberry bread Bat Goddess mentioned) and a tall glass of milk. I have been known to use honey if the jelly jar goes empty. Long ago circumstances forced me to substitute with dill pickle relish, which did not at all suit my tastes, but filled the empty place well enough, I suppose.
