Thanks for your suggestions! I have been down to Atlanta twice since my brother moved there, but the last time was number of years ago. At that time he had only one cat and boarded it out, so I stayed in his home, but still had some problems, alas. So although I've been there before, this is the first time I'm looking for lodgings. I could see it had grown even between my two visits, so I can believe it's even bigger now.

I didn't think to ask him about any ½ price or other discount books, but that's a great idea, and I'll check into it. Thanks, also for the transit advice. I will mostly get rides from my family, but may have some short times on my own, where I would probably want to walk around.

And I am now trying to remember if I did or didn't see the big chicken the last time I was there! (It sure sounds familiar. I should check my old photos...)
