Cafe Lena, during Lena's years was always a welcoming place... and George and Vaughn were equally welcoming. I did a half hour program for public television many years ago, and George and Vaughn offered to put me up, even though I'd never met them. I too had no idea what they look like and "tall" wasn't a lot of help, because I am "tall," too. As the taping was wrapping up on the performer before me, I was getting a little nervous, because Georg and Vaughn had not irrived, and I wasn't sure if they were going to show up. But they did, ad were very gracious guests. The whole folk "business" could not survive without the generosity of all the people who put perfromers up and feed them... I'm proud to be a part of the community..
