When 13, I invented a catapault that would throw a pound of snowballs about 30 yards out of old farm-machine parts found in the barn. It was powered by an old doubled screen-door spring, and never worked properly!

The first time I ever did "it" it was in a locked-up summer house that belonged to someone else who was away, to which we gained access by climbing a pine tree and climbing in through a second story window.

Amazing what young lovebirds will put up with in their quest for a little privacy! :>)

That same lass and I drove a motor-scooter from San Francisco to Los Angeles just to visit a friend at Pomona. ANother of those things I don't think I would do again today!
