I had plans to spend part of September there in 1993, but a death in the family caused to cancel at the last moment. Your thread reminds me of how much I still want to visit Iceland. Can't really say why, I've felt drawn there for a long time, and read about it whenever I can get my hands on something new. Maybe 2003.
