Nicole: I'm not convinced that the majority of the U. S. population will be upset about the vote in the senate. The ethics of Senators can be questioned, perhaps, but they are not stupid. They ALL want to be re-elected. I certainly have not seen or heard about any polls that support your view on that point. Had the vote have been closer, you might be right.
