Thread Name: Lyr Req: Mississippi Blues (William Brown)
Subject: Lyr Req: Mississippi Delta Blues
I have been looking for the lyrics to this one for a while and my search skills are not up to finding it in the DT. It may be an old Blind Blake song, but it sounds more bluesy than ragtime. I think the first line of the version I want is, "I'm going down to the Delta - I can have my fun." It's a nice, slow blues in the key of A played in twelve eight - and I admit with great embarrassment to learning it from the dots in a Stefan Großmann book instead of the proper "folk" way. Who can help me?
