How many anonymous GUESTS does it take to change a light bulb? Noone can ever tell, obviously.

"We guests" implies there is more than one, I suppose.

Still that doesn't matter - the fact remains that this is the only site like this I've come across which does generate a genuine sense of a kind of community.

The quarrelsome side of that is inevitable. If you ever come across a place where everybody smiles all the time, be very worried. There must be something very odd going on. And the Mudcat isn't like that. But at the same time, it does keep on a level balance over time, and difficult issues can get talked about by people who disagree pretty sharply, in a way that is pretty unusual, either on the net or out in the wide world.

And we always get back to the songs and the music, sooner or later, and that's at the heart of it all.
