Mick, the agency I usually book through, Sceptre Tours, (secptreireland.com) is offering $198 round-trip out of NY on Aer Lingus, for three periods, Nov 15-Dec 17, Dec 27-Dec 9, and Mar 23-Mar 29. the period Dec 18-Dec 23 is $509. and the period covering St. Paddy's, Mar 10-Mar-22 is $318. Incidently, the $198 fares also cover Chi Town and Bean Town.

So Fib, since it's the day you leave that sets the fare, for the US crowd, please keep the above dates in mind. And don't mind the comments about the cold, I bet Mick and I would spend the day in a sport shirt and vest. As my Dad used to say, "We Moores have the body shape that won Northern Europe".

(And Ella, that comment only applies to the Newtonards-to-Nova Scotia-to-Boston, branch of the Moores...)

Finally, yes, two of the three accidents I had were in the North, but in the first case, the gal with the baby carriage stepped out just as I hit the top of the hill and she should have heard my motor, and in the second, that damn sheep didn't move at all. You know, every evasive action skill an American develops in the course of forty years of driving (18 in police pursuits) goes out the window when you start the action from the wrong side of the road to begin with...
