Musicmic is correct, Jerry is a Philly phenomenon. The correct spelling of the name is: Jerry Blavat.

He's still doing the DJ thing at his own radio station (WNJC 1360 AM "Geator Gold"), and he still hosts "record hop" club appearances in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (the Philly area to the Atlantic City area, including a nightclub he owns in Margate NJ).
