You can find the lyrics and MIDI to "The Hazel Dell" at http://pdmusic.org/root-gf.html, along with many other songs by George Frederick Root (aka G. Friedrich Wurzel). Root was born in 1820 and died in 1895. Wurzel, by the way, is a German word for "root." He used his German surname Wurzel for his minstrel songs.
Can't say I like the MIDIs at PD music, but they do give you a good idea what a song sounds like. I could do without the electronic drums and cymbals. You can find a recording of this song on the new CD by Mudcatter Guy Wolff
