I can't give a difinitive answer but I have just looked up cfchat. It says it is a "databaseless" system that runs in ColdFusion memory. I would guess it uses "sessions" to keep track of users and that the 2 instances of the program, one running on shorty and one on www would be completely independant. Or in more simple terms, yes, I think you would have 2 mc chats.
