Here in the Philadelphia PA area they are calling for 6-8 inches of snow today, though one TV station's weatherpersons are adding an inch to that forecast. They're also calling for icy conditions in southern New Jersey and Delaware.

I live north of Philly, and there was nothing but powder on the car this morning, but it was piling on as quickly as I brushed it off. The roads are slick and slippery because the local snow-removal system is not too efficient (snow removal varies from township to township around here). Yeah, it is pretty, but who can stop to look when one is busy trying to avoid an accident?

Anyway, temperatures are supposed to warm a bit Friday and Saturday... unfortunately not in time for tonight's open circle in Philly, and I'm not a brave enough soul to drive that far in these conditions, so I'll stay home tonight and sing to myself.
