Peter Sellers in one of the Pink Panther movies - I believe it was "The Pink Panther strikes again" - his funniest in my opinion:
Inspector Clouseau, on seeing small yapping dog in hotel lobby
"Does your dog bite?" Hotel owner says "No"
Dog attacks his leg.                                       
Inspector Clouseau- "I thought you said your dog did not bite"
Hotel owner- "That is not my dog!"

You'll have to imagine the French accent.
