G'day Mad Maudlin,

Most of the standard 'accents' for European languges are in all standard keyboards - and can be accessed with a couple of different simple codes. I use an "alt 0" code, where I hold down the 'alt' key and type 0 followed by three more figures between 128 and 256 - to get the "ASCII second set" characters.

There may be a web site that tells you the codes ... or, if you PM me a e-mail address, I will send a small image (PDF or TIFF) of a file that prints out the second set codes for standard English language keyboard. It's a surprisingly fast way to set accents, once you get used to it.

Reagrds,

Bob Bolton (Never set Swedish ... but I have done Vietnamese - now that's another story!)
