GUEST: Remember that it took a few DC sniper shootings before the story received national attention? The shootings that occurred in September weren't linked to the snipers' spree for quite some time. This is DC we're talking about, where a lot of crime happens and a lot of it is perpetrated by people who are linked in one way or another to politics.
