Subject: RE: Lyric chord Search'The Old Triangle'
Gee, "too shy" you presume that everyone can do that. Myself, it took me years to be able to translate from tune to guitar. For others, it is as easy as falling off a log. And sometimes there is a "unique" chord that might be hard to discover. Hell, I only learned about the famous "D9" chord in blues two years ago and I have been playing for over 30 (my God! that long!) years. You might as well say of a Charlie Patton blues that you know English and you can hear him singing so you should know the lyrics.

I am familiar with this song from the singing of Ian and Sylvia. If you are looking for that wonderful 12 string sound Ian uses, you will want to transpose the chords above into the key of D. Then you will want to drop the bass E to D. Then you will have to alter the other chords to account for that dropped D. A little more work, but makes a lovely sound on a resonant 12-string guitar.
