I was 12 years old, the proud owner of a dulcimer I desparately wanted to play, but there was no one I could find to teach me, and the folks at the music shop looked down their noses and raised their eyebrows at me. Then my parents found your dulcimer book for me, and I opened it up and never looked back.That was 42 years ago, and here I am-- I still love the old songs best, and I am delighted that our son seems to feel the same way.I have been fortunate enough to meet and hear many fine singers and players, but no one has more influenced my love and understnding of this extraordinary music than you, Jean.
