The only thing I can suggest is to get your friends to go to as many, second hand shops, pawn brokers, junk shops, tat and jumble shops. These type of things have a nasty habit of turning up at these places.

Often or not, the people who stole the items, need a quick pound, and know they can get at least £20 by selling them on to these people (who don't have a clue where things like this come from, and usually don't have a clue about their value).

A friend of mine had his flute stolen in Cardiff, and spent the rest of the day wandering around the second hand shops. He eventually found it, in a second hand junk shop. It was in the window for sale for £20!!!! It was worth well over £500. Anyways, this particular vendor was smart and had the name of the person he bought the flute from, so he was arrested.

So, Kathy, can you get a whole load of people to wander around the second hand shops in the Pool?

It is very unfortunate that this happened to them, and all my sympathies, having lived near Liverpool once, we had our house broken into over Christmas - whilst we were at our family in the South. So I wouldn't have even thought about leaving a jot in my car in Liverpool - unfortunately it's a common thing and very upsetting to those it happens to. It ruined our christmas that year!

I hope they find them though - best of luck!
