I would like to invite all Mudcatters (and anyone else who reads this!) to join me for the annual Christmas program that I host on WFDU-FM. The show will be broadcast on Sunday December 22 from 3 to 6pm on 89.1FM in the NYC area, and you can listen in via the internet at www.wfdu.fm .

On this program (which I have been hosting on the Sunday before Christmas for the last 23 years) I feature carols and folk songs from artists like Pete Seeger, Jean Ritchie, Odetta, the Christmas Revels, Nowell Sing We Clear, Cyril Tawney and many others. I try to give some background behind the songs, and we will have a few guests this year to talk about the traditions.   The main focus is on enjoying the music of the holiday and I'm proud to say that many listeners have sent me notes that they gather their families together to listen to the show, trim the tree, and share in the holiday spirit. I hope that some of you will be able to listen in as well.
