and to think the lowly brussel sprout inspired such
a volume of chatter here!! people used to say
(during the gulf war) that if it was broccoli
instead of oil that there was a lot of in the
persian gulf there would be no such battles.
i think that was shortly after the (then) president
made some comment to the effect that a portion of
ketchup (catsup) would suffice as the daily allotment
of vegetable in a child's school lunch-or something
like that..
