Well, "Duckboots" aka Heather, will be at a meeting of the "Adoption Council of Canada", for most of the evening, so I'll be on my own. Actually since finding her birth mother (and a bunch of new relations) she's become aware of a lot of the problems and stigma(s) that adopted kids deal with on a life-long basis. I've suggested that we do a radio show on the subject, with appropriate songs and a couple of interviews, and have left the planning up to her. My simple-minded philosophy on ALL situations of exclusion, is that when one person gets up the nerve to tell their story publicly, others in the same boat feel less alone. And that has to be good.
Since I don't have a guest tonight, I'll play some CDs, vinyl, and maybe bring in a banjo or guitar (no tipples) and sing a few songs.
