What a silly statement. "Weak" because many of us have chosen monikers that in fact give some information about ourselves? Or that honor individuals or traditions that we respect? I don't think so.

This particular name is also used as one of my email addresses, and I never get spam there. It doesn't fall within the conventions of a regular name (first and last, or first initial and last, etc.) that the spammers run through their mail address programs trying to find viable addresses of So-And-So@______ (here place the name of each major provider Earthlink, AOL, Prodigy, etc.) so they can sell their penis-lengthening programs, or offer me a deal I can't refuse on refinancing my home or gambling in the Caribbean.

Stilly River Sage (a name selected to honor my grandfather, who wrote a local column for many years called "The Sage of the Stilly")
