The three neck-hold stand I use holds my banjo just fine. I actually had to modify the neck-hold (a U shaped piece of metal covered with surgical tubing) for my Martin by bending the U in a tighter circle, but the other two U's held my long neck and my six string banjo all at one time. The stand comes in two pieces, which are slid into eachother and fixed with a tension thumb screw. The base is a tripod very like a mic stand. The whole thing cost me about $40 and should be available to order through any music store. Good Luck
