The Mammals are important because they are part of the NEW folk generation, along with people like Eliza Carthy, Kate Rusby, and the late, lamented Jeff Buckley.

They carry on our torch, and make this music "cool" to people in their twenties -- which most of us would have a hard time accomplishing.
