As I have stated before, NK is being treated differently than Iraq because it has enough cannon and rockets pointed at Seoul to wipe the city out in only a few minutes.
In case you haven't looked, SK is an ally of ours as is Japan and HK has rockets with enough range to reach Tokyo.
That's a lot of millions of people they could wipe out all at once. They know it and so do we.
The reason China is being asked to mediate, I think, is that China has enormous influence over NK. I think that China would like to keep NK available to use as a foil in international politics.
It's just like gigs; each one requires a different song list.
Sorry Ebbie, I don't see how NK relates to Iraq's possession of WMDs. As I said, the situations are different. Iraq does not have, at this time, the delivery systems that NK does nor does one of our allies live next door.
