I pray (for once I mean this literally) that the peace and love which this season celebrates can become a reality.

I am amazed and delighted at the other versions of peace and love, some within our specific Christian heritages. Kytrad's Jon had, as all children seem to manage, a true sense of what was right. I remember that I felt the denial of lodging was wrong but never expressed it. The Reverend Mr. Terry wouldn't have tolerated such an unorthodox response. Which brings me to my second favorite Christmas song (Brightest and Best being my first) and that is Collin Raye's "What if Jesus Came Back Like That?". When I first heard that song I literally gasped. It is incredibly fitting.

Day-Liah, be of good cheer, I feel that we will eventually figure it all out and get ourselves right.
