We Wait Beneath the Furnace Blast, a civil war era song, is based on a Bach Choral, Feste Burg (sp). It usually did gothe other way 'round though. Now Pop music is pretty shameless about it. I got Stranger In Paradise stuck in my head today, now what WAS that before it was Stranger In Paradise??? And I think that Barry Manalow (sp) uses some classical licks pretty shamelessly in his intros to some things.
