The second verse goes something like this:

Every time I look into the Holy Book I want to tremble

When I read about how the carpenter cleared the temple

Cause those buyers and sellers were no different fellows

Than what I profess to be

And it causes me pain to know we're not the people we should be.

that's how I remember it. I never found that the words fit the music very well in this verse - maybe it was somebody's addition.
