It wasn't the original question. Nothing wrong with that. It was the smart-aleck response of "Why Max chooses to implement such changes without telling his 'customers' is beyond me. Just his way, I suppose" that set up a few backs. For someone who considers him/herself a customer without bothering to join, there is little tolerance for your complaints. Max is a resource that many of us are daily in awe of. Without his computers on his dining room table (wherever that may be these days) there would be no Mudcat. Simple as that. And it's quite a community, something he can be very proud to have nurtured by providing this forum.
