I found it works better if I right click on the link and save it as a download before I play it. It's awful hard to mike a washtub bass because it is so low. A sound guy at this year's FSGW Getaway in Washington D.C. told me that the best way to mike the tub is to actually put the mike inside (under) it.

How long have you been playing the washtub? Do you play with anyone else? I've only actually seen one or two other players in my life, though I've been playing on and off for a number of years.
