The Irish have the right idea - a wake!

Everybody has to die some time, and I think it honors that person much more if you celebrate their life and remember the good times and tell stories and laugh and sing, rather than being sad and solemn all the time. There's a time for that too.

That's what I want when I die. On the other hand, it seems like so much fun, maybe I'll have a wake when I'm old, BEFORE I die! Then I can come in and say the reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. It's been done before, at least in fiction.
