Here in Ontario all the salt they pour IN ABUNDANCE on the roads dissolves away everything from cars to rubber boots! But at least it keeps us from "slip slidin away" into "ghostland". The most unusual thing I saw in the Pacific Northwest is how the "moss grows" so thick on the roofs of the houses some people let their goats graze up there ...
